Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 March 2026
This policy explains what personal information Sharp Audit collects, how it is used, and what rights you have over it. Sharp Audit is operated by Stuart Milne, based in Christchurch, New Zealand. This policy is governed by New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
Sharp Audit collects the following information depending on how you interact with the service:
- Contact information — your name and email address, provided when you submit a free audit or purchase a paid service.
- Submitted copy — the marketing copy you submit for diagnosis. This is used solely to deliver the service and is not used for any other purpose.
- Conversion goal and asset details — the context you provide about your copy's intended purpose, used to conduct the diagnostic.
- Payment information — collected and processed by Stripe. Sharp Audit does not store card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Email engagement data — open rates, click activity, and subscription status, managed through Kit (formerly ConvertKit).
How we collect it
- Submission forms on this website, handled via a PHP form processor hosted on Hostinger.
- Stripe checkout, when you purchase a paid service.
- Kit, when you subscribe to email communications.
How we use it
- Service delivery — your submitted copy, conversion goal, and contact information are used to conduct the diagnostic and deliver the rewrite and report to your inbox.
- Email communications — if you opt in via a submission form or free audit, your email address is added to Kit and used to send service-related updates and, where applicable, marketing communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Internal records — submission details are retained for service delivery and dispute resolution purposes.
Your submitted copy is never used to train AI systems, shared with third parties for marketing, or published in any form without your explicit consent.
Who we share it with
Sharp Audit shares your information only with the third-party services required to operate:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe stores and processes payment data under their own privacy policy.
- Kit — email automation. Kit stores your email address and engagement data under their own privacy policy.
- Hostinger — web hosting. Form submissions pass through Hostinger's servers.
No personal data is sold to third parties. No personal data is shared with advertisers.
How long we keep it
- Submitted copy and diagnostic outputs — retained for 12 months from the date of delivery, then deleted.
- Email address and contact details — retained for as long as you remain subscribed to email communications or have an active service relationship with Sharp Audit.
- Payment records — retained as required by New Zealand tax law (generally 7 years).
